Students learn for life, not for school. That is an old saying from Roman times. When learning is functional and meaningful, it also becomes much more enjoyable for students. This is in line with a statement by Parkhurst: “Learning must be fun.” At Dalton schools, it is very important to pay attention to the mental and collective health of the students. Well-being is an essential feature of Dalton education. And that applies not only to students, but also to teachers. In this section, we offer a number of articles that support this and provide teachers with tools to work on it. And that is necessary at a time when more and more is being asked of students.
